Welcome! My name is Barbra Jones. I’m a professional freelance writer, ghostwriter, blogger and author with over ten years of experience. I specialize in creative writing for fiction, memoir, blogs and podcast show notes. I live in Texas with my husband, two kids and a bichon frise named Sugar. I am passionate about my faith, my family, traveling and of course writing.

Early Inspiration

When I was six years old my father worked night shift for a season. I was in bed when he came home and in school by the time he got up. I missed him so I wrote him stories and drew pictures to go with them. I attached them to the fridge for him to see when he got home. The next morning, my story would be gone and in its place would be a note from my father telling me how much he loved my story and looked forward to the next one. My love for story telling and creative writing has continued to this day.

Philosophy

My philosophy for writing matches my philosophy for life. Do for others what I would want done for me. I wouldn’t write something I wouldn’t be willing to read and enjoy myself. Nor would I produce work for a client that would be less than the standards I strive for in my own work. I understand how important your book, blog or show notes are to you because I feel the same way about mine.
